My submission for The Shhhow, an art show organized by the Department of Public Works. Guests are asked to follow and find clues in order to find the location of the art show.

This piece was my interpretation of Four Tet's "This Unfolds." I wish I knew how to animate this but the concept behind this piece is loops, repetition and patterns. I chose this particular song because it is uplifting, warm and reminds me of very special moments and friends I had in England. Also because of it's intricate, mathematical composition. I broke up part of the song into sections and broke down each set of beats into shapes. As the song progresses, the beats change and or grow. A pseudo timeline was used to denote a lapse of time. Photos in the background were taken from the car while I was in London, features views enroute Oxford. It was a happy mistake that the photos featured the sun rising and setting, also again, reemphasizing the notion of a time lapse.

Piece is 36"x25" printed on fiber paper. This piece is intended to be hung about 5" from the wall so that light could pass through and cast a shadow. That shadow would change it's position as the sun passed through the sky.
